About Texas Basketball Review
Mike Kunstadt’s Texas Basketball Review was established in 1988. It has since become the leading basketball evaluating and recruiting service in Texas. Sam Lowe, Blue Zertuche, and Ryan Massad annually rank the players in Texas and their evaluations are highly respected by college coaches of all levels across the nation. The Texas Basketball Review is a division of Great American Sports, Inc. and is in compliance with all NCAA rules.
Mike Kunstadt is a former high school basketball coach (26 years experience and 20 years as a varsity head coach). He started TBR scouting service and has been the president and talent evaluator from its inception in 1988. Sam Lowe joined the staff in 1995 and has been the editor of TBR and talent evaluator for over 20 years. Blue Zertuche joined the staff full-time in 2015 (after 10 years of contract work) as a TBR publisher and talent evaluator.
